Bogs Rain Boots for Kids

I am writing a review of the best kid’s boots EVER purchased for my boys – Bogs.  They are amazing.  My husband snagged two pairs at the end of season last year after our boys literally tore through multiple pairs last fall, winter and spring.

To be fair, we live in Seattle where rain boots are utilized almost everyday 8 months of the year, but my boys used them to do normal (not death-defying) kid activities. My (then) less active 2-year-old had only a few problems. And his boots were hand-me-downs, so one pair biting the dust was expected.  But my 4-year-old went through three pairs – two of them new. So my husband searched out some more heavy-duty boots for this year.

We have worn them a few times this week and it’s already clear that these Bogs boots are unlike any department store cutsy boots I’ve seen or tried.  They are heavy duty and can even withstand temperatures down to 21 degrees!  The boys each love them and can put them on and pull them off with ease.  And, although you can’t get them in patterns like frogs and alligators, they are pretty dapper in a rugged sort of way – all black and charcoal gray (although I just found out you can get ones with designs).

So, if you put boots on your child who is above the age of 2 more than a handful of times a year I would strongly suggest investing in these boots.  They are heavy-duty, water and weather proof. In addition, you can count on them being a solid hand-me-down with little show of wear and tear… bonus!
