As I write this I am sitting next to my new treat. It’s a water bottle. Not just any water bottle. It’s a super-chic-glass-with-Robin’s-Egg-blue-silicone-sheath water bottle. And I really like it. So-much-so that I am including one as part of our May give-away gift package.
I had heard about glass water bottles from a friend who was helping me look for BPA free water bottles that I could work out with and even use to promote the Better Body After Baby site. I had never seen a glass water bottle that was made for carrying around until I saw Life Factory’s 16 and 22-ounce gems which I had stumbled across it in a web search. When I saw them I noted their outer “shatter protective” cover. And their shape and design intrigued me. But it took me seeing one up close to take it more seriously.
And why not be picky about a water bottle? Water bottles (or beverage containers) are everywhere. In every shape and color. And they are essential to work outs as they promote water consumption – a must. But my challenge is, I need one everywhere I go. I am thirsty a lot and I refuse to buy beverages that are ridiculously expensive and bad for you to boot. So, I carry my trusty water bottle to the gym, running errands, in the diaper bag. It goes with me everywhere. It’s a constant companion. Which means I need one that is practical first, toxic free second, and good-looking next. The good news is – Lifefactory’s Water Bottle is all three!
Lifefactory’s glass bottles come with a variety of silicone cover colors to choose from. They are chic and well designed. In their own words… “Lifefactory’s BPA-free reusable beverage bottles are clear soda lime glass wrapped in a modern silicone sleeve — an intelligently designed, clean tasting, chemical-free container for all your favorite beverages”. And what they say is true – they are intelligently designed, clean tasting, chemical free and fun to boot. In fact, I think my only complaint is that you have to peel off the sleeve to get them a good wash. But, with a little effort it goes back on. Oh… and I would have gotten the 22-ounce. The 16-ounce just requires more fill-ups.
